Kia Ora Koutou,
Just wanted to reach out and tell you how much my year 7 class is enjoying season one of the Aotearoa History podcast this year. It's a favourite part of our week. I hear from parents that students are talking about what we're listening to at home.
I love hearing them link past learning with current episodes and how some of them have gone on to reading more about certain events. This morning we listened to the episode about World War 2. I was so impressed to hear a group of boys talking about Michael Joseph Savage and remembering that he was the PM who introduced benefits and was a PM who looked after the common people.
At my school we always do the PAT Listening Comprehension test at the start of the year, but never do anything with the results. This year I decided that listening skills really need to be developed and that taking notes from listening is a key skill my learners need to learn. I'm so glad I stumbled across this podcast series and your resource to go with it!
I intend to continue with season 2, but I'll listen to the episodes before hand and decide whether my students are mature enough to cope with the content.
Have a fabulous weekend and I love your work!

A week in NZ’s history is an amazing resource to complement my reading and inquiry program for my senior students. It builds interest and curiosity and the students want to find out more. Great to have links for further reading supplied for teachers and students.

I love this resource! It has saved me hours of extra planning time with follow up tasks. I love the range of New Zealand resources we can use, especially with Aotearoa New Zealand histories curriculum coming in next year. The kids love doing them too 🙂

Love the resources Hinemoa has at Top Teaching Tasks. They are not only fun and engaging activities, but they are also purposeful. No “busy work” here! My students have thoroughly enjoyed all of the Top Teaching Tasks resources we have used, and I love how much time it’s saved me. Thank you Hinemoa.

I absolutely love these resources. There are always new ones arriving. AND if you ask for a resource or a collection or some help, she's onto it. Very grateful.

Amazing resources that are practical and easy to use in the classroom. Something for every year level and ability and such a great range. New resources are added regularly and great communication about these. I recently had an issue downloading a file and had a very prompt response to my query and it was sorted. Excellent service! This site is a great timesaver for me and well worth the subscription.

They have AMAZING teaching resources available that cover every possible aspect of the curriculum for each year level. It doesn't seem to matter how comprehensive their library is, they also constantly come up with new and innovative ideas and are to be admired for the way they keep 100% up to date with any curriculum changes IMMEDIATELY! The only downside is the paid membership is too expensive for me to pay myself and school won't cover it 🙁

I have been using the resources from Top Teaching Tasks for years now with students across the primary curriculum levels. They are always engaged with the content and I see real learning happening. I have found the resources to be levelled accurately and because of this I went on to purchase the Reading Membership to help reduce my planning time. I knew I could trust that what was outlined in the overviews of each resource, in relation to skills and content, was going to help my students move forward with their learning intentions.

The work that is done behind the scenes to make these resources must be phenomenal! I am so very grateful to have a membership to Top Teaching Tasks and be able to utilise their well-prepared & presented resources in my own classroom. It truly has saved me many hours of thinking, planning, & creating creatively presented resources. Mālō 'aupito/thank you very much.

Top Teaching Tasks or TTT as we use in our planning at my school, has been a game changer in terms of relevant, up-to-date Aotearoa resources. We are always amazed at how many incredible digital and paper resources there are on here. They are constantly being updated and added to all the time. Our students love learning through these, my team and I love how easy they are to use, how detailed and linked to our NZ Curriculum they are. And the new Structured Literacy learning is incredible. Hinemoa has her finger on the pulse of Education and the changes that are happening all the time. This is an annual subscription my team and I will continue into the future. Thank you.

Outstanding and quality resources, linked to the NZ curriculum. This is the only resource that I pay for and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. It's my 'go-to', particularly when searching for literacy ideas. Highly recommend to others and I will be continuing to subscribe. Keep up the fantastic mahi TTT!

I teach in the United States, and many of her resources are universal, useful, and fun for students. I especially like the "getting to know you" puzzles. A creative way for students to create a puzzle, and a way for everyone in class to learn something about each other. Great introductory activity!
