Our aim with the activities that we have provided is to be purposely and intentionally inclusive. For this reason, rather than focusing heavily on reading and writing activities, we have provided a wide range of discussion activities AND creative, hands-on, and collaborative activities. These activities help students to dive deeper into the themes of each story and do not block any student participation due to their reading or writing level.
Please note: To use this book study, you will need at least one copy of the book, Kia Kaha by Stacey Morrison and Jeremy Sherlock. Whether you use this resource or not, this book is a must-have in your classroom!
