Why fluency?
Fluency is essential for early readers because it bridges decoding words and understanding what they read (comprehension).

Here’s why it matters:

1. It frees up brain power for understanding.

2. It helps with expression and enjoyment.

3. It builds confidence.

4. It supports comprehension.

5. It lays a strong foundation for more advanced reading.
