Reading – decoding: Y4, 5 and 6
  • decode multi-syllable words by applying their knowledge of the alphabetic code, morphology, and syllables.
Phase Two: During the 6th year of school:
Phase 2 writing – spelling:
  • spell words with prefixes (uni-, bi-, tri-, dec-) and suffixes that change words into a noun (-logy, -ism, -ment)
