With initial modelling and scaffolding, these activities are intended to be completed independently to build students’ skills in following instructions, fine motor skills and stamina to complete tasks.
In this Phonics and Structured Suffixes Activities pack, you receive
Three sets of practice tasks: one for each suffix.
Each set contains three practice tasks. These activities include:

Ending sounds: Students add the target letters to the end of each word. Students draw a picture to match the new word.

Handwriting Practice: Students trace over the letters and words using the target sound.

Adding Consonants: Students add the correct consonants to the start of the –ing words. Students colour in the associated pictures.

Word Find: Students find words using the target letters in the word find.

Adding Endings: Students add the target letters to the end of words and illustrate selected words.

Look and Find: Students identify words using the target letters in a short text, circle the words and then colour in the picture.

Plural Suffix Sort: Students identify the word endings and sort into word lists.
