My Tūrangawaewae – School Journal Level 2 June 2023
Students at Sylvia Park School created My Tūrangawaewae, a large contemporary version of a tapa. They designed individual squares that represent their identity and culture. The artwork celebrates them individually, as a class, and as a community. In the hallways at Sylvia Park School in Auckland, a tapa artwork called My Tūrangawaewae is on display. Each square in the artwork embodies something special about a student who worked on the project.
